Julie Toma is currently the Head of Marketing and Communications for Catholic Healthcare with significant healthcare leadership experience gained in large, global corporations including Sonic Clinical Services, Cochlear, Kimberly-Clark Healthcare and BD. Julie is passionate about purpose driven organisation culture focused on improving the lives of others. Her expertise includes employee and customer experience, strategic business planning, brand management, digital transformation and stakeholder engagement. Julie was a finalist in the CEO Magazine Executive of the Year Awards 2017 and 2019 as well as being shortlisted for the Telstra Business Women’s Awards in 2019. Catholic Healthcare’s Marketing Team was awarded the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) Marketing Awards for Excellence NFP NSW State Award in 2020. Julie’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Majoring in Biochemistry, a Master in Business Administration, Majoring in Marketing Strategy and is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Julie is currently a Board Director for the Australian Dental Health Foundation which provides free dental care for vulnerable Australian’s and is also a Board Director for the Barbara May Foundation which delivers life-saving maternity care for women in Africa. Previous experience also includes board roles with LiveBetter and the Asthma Foundation ACT; an AMI Marketing Awards for Excellence Judge and past AMI NSW State Committee Chair as well as a member of the Cancer Australia Research Grant Advisory Committee.
Biheng Zhang is the Director of Philanthropy at Pollinate Group, a social enterprise empowering women leaders in some of the world’s most neglected communities. Biheng’s leadership has built Pollinate Group’s profile in Australia and internationally. She led the organisation’s re-brand following its sector-first merger, and has delivered global campaigns that engage supporters in Australia, the US and Europe. Under Biheng’s leadership Pollinate Group has secured significant multi-year partnerships including the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, worth €1.32 million. A professional fundraiser for over a decade, Biheng has led diverse portfolios across the arts, health, medical research and education including at the National Gallery of Victoria, The Song Room, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and Prostate Cancer UK. She is currently a board director of Linden New Art, a contemporary art gallery in Melbourne. Biheng’s passion for international development has taken her to many parts of the world including India, Nepal, Cambodia and the UAE where she has met some truly inspiring colleagues, allies and friends.
