Nominations have opened for the Third Sector Awards, highlighting sector leaders who create social change
Award nominations are now open for Australia’s most notable executive leaders and decision-makers who have made a difference to the sector.
The Third Sector Awards, is a unique opportunity for leaders and volunteers to highlight either themselves or a colleague for demonstrated leadership and innovation within their organisation and the wider community.
Nominees will be judged based on their social impact, outcomes measurement, social innovation, collaboration, leadership and systems thinking with the judges providing an unbiased and objective point of reference to score the best entries.
The awards is put together in partnership with the Centre for Social Impact , and categories for the Awards include emerging leader of the year, CEO of the year, young leader of the year and social entrepreneur of the year.
A judge’s choice for Influencer of the Year will also be announced after a public vote. The award was designed to recognise the achievements of an individual that has made a significant impact on the third sector but does not fall within any of the categories.
The awards night presented by Spark Strategy, will be part of Third Sector Live, a conference that will bring together the who’s who of the NFP sector in a unique opportunity for Australia’s sector leaders.
The event focuses on providing tools for developing and retaining a sustainable workforce, a how-to on creating collaborative partnerships and utilising technology and implementing effective marketing and branding strategies.
Attendees will hear from industry leaders about the role of the third sector, including Commissioner of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, Gary Johns.
Other speakers include the Shadow Minister for Charities and Not-for-profits, Andrew Leigh and CEO of National Aids Trust UK, Deborah Gold, among many others.
Award nominations are due July 29 and finalists will be announced on August 27.
